Trauma-Focused Training for Emerging Clinicians

 

Centered Wellness Collective offers a structured clinical internship program for graduate-level counseling students seeking hands-on experience in trauma-informed therapy.

 

Our internship is designed to provide meaningful clinical training in a group practice setting specializing in domestic violence, sexual abuse, complex trauma, PTSD, and EMDR therapy. Interns gain experience working with diverse clients while receiving close supervision and support.

Training and Clinical Focus

 

Interns at Centered Wellness Collective receive training and exposure in:

 

* Trauma-informed clinical practice

* EMDR therapy (observational and supported application depending on training level)

* Domestic violence and coercive control

* Sexual abuse and childhood trauma

* Complex trauma and PTSD presentations

* Somatic-informed approaches to trauma

* Clinical documentation and treatment planning

* Ethical and culturally responsive care

Supervision and Support

 

Interns receive consistent clinical supervision focused on developing strong clinical judgment, trauma competency, and confidence in therapeutic work.

 

Supervision includes guidance in case conceptualization, treatment planning, ethical decision-making, and building foundational clinical skills needed for long-term practice.
